Dr. Aaron Gentry

Dr. Gentry studied at Indiana University Bloomington, completing his degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Animal Behavior, and then went on to earn his veterinary degree at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was both a Founders Scholar and on the Dean’s List throughout veterinary school.

Dr. Gentry grew up in Indiana surrounded by pets and large animals. His current menagerie includes two cats, Cardi and Chai, two crested geckos, Eeyore and Juniper, a collection of fish, and a South American horned frog named Avocado. Evenings you will usually find him tucking everyone in for the night, which includes making sure everyone is watered and had their fill of the bug buffet (except the cats, contrary as cats sometimes are).

Dr Gentry believes that changes in behavior, appetite, or energy can be early indicators of illness. Recognizing these signs promptly can make a meaningful difference in the pet’s well-being. Emerging new technology in veterinary medicine is especially interesting to Dr. Gentry because it provides additional clues in that his patients can’t vocalize. In his own words, “Seeing a patient recover and return to a happy, healthy life is especially fulfilling.”
